Hello to all,
Heads up to anyone who is interested in staying at Bennington this summer.
The Bennington Sustainable Food Project and the Sustainability Committee are happy to let you know that the college’s student garden will be going into its second year, and will be hiring two interns for the spring and summer to see the project through. For more information or to apply for this internship, check Worklink, or see the 2010 Bennington Garden Blog that was set up by last year’s interns. Applications are due on April 3rd.
Also happening this summer will be the Bennington Forest Biomass Inventory. This project is funded by the Bennington College Environmental Studies Program and will be headed by science faculty members Kerry Woods and Tim Schroeder. The inventory is designed to analyze and quantify the college’s forest carbon budget as a step towards becoming carbon neutral. The project will require the services of two student interns working 20 hours a week throughout the summer. For more information see the Wiki page. The application should be available on Worklink in the near future.
